The Buteyko Technique program is a series of five one and a half hour to two hour classes focusing on the physiology of breathing as well as its importance and function in staying healthy. Breath is the most important resource we have.
The goal of Buteyko is to help people access this resource in order to make their lives more nourishing, more comfortable and more breathable.
The Buteyko Technique is a proven, safe and highly effective way to ameliorate and often completely eliminate a wide range of symptoms, such as asthma, anxiety, allergies, snoring, breathing difficulties, fibromyalgia, depression and much more.
This method has been shown to improve overall sports performance, public speaking, and singing. Children as young as 6 can easily learn and benefit from, The Buteyko Technique.
There are daytime and evening classes scheduled throughout the year. You can take all five classes in one week or over a two, three or five week period. Depending upon your scheduling needs you may also take some of the classes in the series in the daytime and others in the evening. Private sessions and private group sessions are also available upon request.
As we learn to live a breathable body we re-unite breath with consciousness opening our organism to its unrealized possibilities that increase health, coherence, freedom, and joy. We meet ourselves beneath the dysregulated breathing patterns that have shaped both body and personality and connect more deeply with our underlying wellness. We learn to cultivate a relationship with breath that becomes the guide in maintaining and sustaining breathing rhythms that are responsive and nourishing in our daily activities.
