Continuum Moving Inquiry Classes
Calming Anxiety with Breathing
Relationship Between Breathing & Anxiety
Sunday Series – May 24, 31 & June 7, 2020
10 am–noon PT
Sessions will be recorded for those who cannot attend live
The rhythms of anxiety and breathing are related. The breathing rhythm of anxiety is usually fast and moving in the chest. The heart is rapid and pounding. There is a sense of confinement, trapped in a small space with no way out. The mind, breath and body are in a loop, reinforcing the dynamic. The rhythms of relaxation, peace, calm and breathing are also related. Breathing is slower and deep in your lower belly. The heart is quiet and slow. The sense of space and perception is open and receptive. This class will provide skills in consciously participating with the relationship between breathing and anxiety and knowing how to influence the rhythms in creating a transition from fear to peace. Come for one or come for all. The opportunity provided in 3 sessions is to deepen our learning and to learn from each other. All sessions will be recorded and available.
